Disney Imagineer Frank Armitage has died at the age of 91. The Australian animator moved to LA with about $100 in his pocket and found work at the Disney studios creating images that shaped many generations’ childhoods including Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, and the Jungle Book. He left Disney to become a medical artist and he worked on the acclaimed film Fantastic Voyage that earned two academy awards for visual effects and best art direction.
